Here is one such Makar Sankranti/ Uatarayn special winter delight prepared with sesame seeds and rice puffs with the common ingredient being Jaggery.

- 3 cup puffed rice
- 2 tbsp black sesame seeds
- 2 tsp ghee (clarified butter)
- 1 cup finely chopped jaggery
- 1 small bowl water

- First heat a pan, add puffed rice and dry roast on low flame gas for 5 to 6 minutes till puffed rice are crumbles. Now discard the puffed rice in plate and let cool down. Now roast black sesame seeds in the same pan for 2 minutes.
- Now heat ghee in the same pan, add chopped jaggery and melt it while stirring constantly with a spoon. When the bubble starts appearing in the jaggery and the color of the jaggery changes, then take water in a bowl and add 4 to 5 drops of the base of the jaggery in it. And see that the jaggery is crushed.

- Now add puffed rice and black sesame seeds and mix well. And turn off the gas flame.

- Now take this puffed rice mixture in a greased plate, cool it lightly and grease youe hand with ghee to make a medium size laddu. And this laddu can be stored in an air tight container for 15 to 20 days after cooling.
